Man. What a week!
Last Monday was Warped Tour…of course it landed to be the hottest day of the year. 110 degrees. Holy crap. So hot. I was going to Warped because I got free tickets, and there wasn’t really anyone I really wanted to see. But I did want to see Sum 41 and Set Your Goals, and Sum 41 ended up cancelling. I went with Leanna, Sam, Zack, and Dill. But Zack went home early because he goes reallllyy sick. Set Your Goals RULED, so did Emarosa. But most of the day was spent laying in the shade trying to stay out of the heat, which was impossible. I saw BTF’s merch guy, Dave, at the Fearless Records tent, and Dave knows me now so he gave me 10 bucks off a BTF shirt, so that was awesome. But Warped was totally worth it becase I ended up winning tickets to the Blessthefall/Underoath/Between the Buried and Me show that Thursday. I was so stoked.
The next day, Tuesday, was Lady Gaga, and man, I was excited. I went with my brother, mom, my mom’s friend, and her daughter. The show was incredible. The visuals were fantastic, and she sounded so good. She sang all of The Fame Monster and I was so excited. It really was a fantastic show. I took a ton of pictures that are on my facebook.
Then that Thursday was Underoath. The venue was an hour away, and we had to go get Amanda, which took an extra hour, to the drive out there was a grand total of 2 hours. I went with Leanna, Amanda, Zack, and Sam. We got there, ate some Chipotle, then went to the venue. I love Granada, everywhere is a good spot…I saw Eric and Matt from Blessthefall at the merch table, that was awesome, talked to them, got my picture with them (which ended up being a god awful picture), then we got our spots for the show. Blessthefall came on second after some average band, and they put on a good show, like usual, but honestly they were better the last time I saw them with Leanna. Between the Buried and Me kicked so much ass, their music blew me away and they sounded great. But Underoath was definitely the best at the show that night. They played 2 new songs, which are so heavy, but still amazing, and Spencer’s vocals were better then ever. It was my second time seeing them and they blew their first show out of the water. I will always love that band. haha.
Nothing else has been going on other then that. Except for 1 little thing that happened the other night.
It was me, Olivia, Leanna, Zack, Ian, Zack’s cousin Andrew, and his friend Kelyn. We were just swimming at the main dock in my neighborhood, having a good time, minding our own business, and this group of wrestling guys from my school came over to the dock and started yelling at us, telling us we weree being too loud, and that we needed to leave the docks…and we were just like..no..we’re outside, we can be as loud as we want, what the heck…and then they started calling me a ‘fat bitch’ and Olivia an ‘ugly bitch’….and they called Andy a pussy, and wanted to fight us. It was just stupid and ridiculous. We did nothing to them. So then after an hour and a half, the cops showed up and of course they all got into their cars and drove off. The cop was on our side, he hated all those kids. So then the next day Olivia got an IM from one of the kids that was harassing us, and he said ‘sorry about last night, it wasn’t personal, it was just on our bucket list to get in a fight with someone.’ Wow. Really? I hate kids my age. Hate them.
But anyways,
Circa Survive is coming to KC in November and I couldn’t be any happier.
Ending the blog with that.
